Aaron Compton "Lots of great information and lots of laughs--fun and very informative. I like the informal atmosphere. And I want my own teepee."

Anthony  "The whole thing in general was very enjoyable - a lot more so than my 7 weeks of antenatal and being a male i got more out of this time As it related more to after our bub is born."

Mum Raves:

Nadine  "I liked the fact that the discussion was based around our questions but it still covered all the 'important' stuff. It was a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and people seemed to feel comfortable voicing concerns and asking questions related to breast feeding.
I didn't bring my partner but I wish I had as there was so much more to the class than just the physical mechanics of feeding. I really liked the way you talked about your common sense approach to those early days and weeks, the importance of skin to skin contact and also looking at things from an evolutionary perspective. This all made so much sense!!!  It has made me feel a lot more informed, prepared and confident about how I want to do things when I have my baby.

Annemarie Hood: "The ability to ask questions in a relaxed, non-judgemental arena.
The balloons gave a very graphic demonstration of the effect of a good latch. This was very useful in understanding the effect of a good vs poor latch. The discussion of breast feeding in relation to the rest of baby care - taking a holistic view of breast feeding made a lot of sense, but doesn't seem to normally be mentioned.

Jessica & Hamish "My favourite part of the course was Mandi!
I found Mandi to be so approachable, straight forward and relaxed.
We left feeling so positive and the ""fear"" of something not going right with breastfeeding has been eliminated. We are so confident now of what we are going into and how it will work for us. What seemed so hard before we got there (thanks to all those old wives tales) now seems like it will be a total breeze, and so beneficial to the baby."

Angela "The venue...and hospitality!  I was very impressed with the amount of knowledge passed on in such a short session and all without making it boring, long winded and full of terms/words we didn't understand.  Loved the cave baby references, really helped explain reasoning simply.  Appreciated the fact you asked what each of us wanted to know, therefore ensuring we all went away with valuable information."

Patrice Buescher I got the impression that you really know what you are talking about. While I liked that you came up with some facts, I also liked that the class wasn't just technical or scientific but that you stressed how important it is for the emotional development of the babies to be close us parents. Listening to you made me really emotional at some point, but that could have just been the pregnancy hormones! I also liked that it was a bit of fun (the balloons were great, so were the tuba grips with the soft toys)

Meredith O'Dea the ability to ask questions, clarify and be able to have visual representation of techniques.  Also explanation of different sucking techniques.

Anna Gibbs Learning about the theory behind skin on skin, this helped to understand the behaviours of our boy when he was first born. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the class. Mandi is very approachable and easy to ask any questions, no question was too silly.

Demelza I liked how casual it was - really easy to talk about what has become a kind of embarrassing and taboo subject in society!  It was great being able to ask any question we wanted without being limited to a strict course outline.

Frances Broome I enjoyed learning the tips on breastfeeding, why a baby may not breastfeed straight etc, about wind and caring for baby when they are born. Enjoyed sharing the experience with my husband. Increased my confidence about the importance of bonding and breast milk, especially first two days.

Katrina Sowry Having the information delivered in a fun supportive environment was my favourite part.
Megan kennedy "I enjoyed the whole experience really!  It was so informative and really put my mind at ease. The atmosphere was really great, you didn't feel uncomfortable and were able to ask any questions you needed to."
